Roles

PRIME Graph Editor’s permissions are hierarchical: a role higher up this list automatically has every permission of the roles below it, for the programmes and courses it applies to. Use this page to pick the right role when adding someone as a super user on a programme or course.

1. Super Admin

Super Admins can do anything, anywhere in PRIME Graph Editor: create and delete programmes, and manage every programme and course without being added to it explicitly.

Super Admin status is not assigned from the programme or course settings pages. If you need one, ask an existing super admin.

2. Programme Admin

Programme Admins manage a programme itself. They can:

Edit the programme’s name.
Add, change or remove the programme’s admins and editors.
Add, link and unlink courses under the programme.
Delete a course under the programme (once it is archived).
Everything a Programme Editor and a Course Admin can do, for every course under the programme.

3. Programme Editor

Programme Editors manage a programme’s courses, but not the programme’s own settings or its super users. They can:

Add, link and unlink courses under the programme.
Delete a course under the programme (once it is archived).
Everything a Course Editor can do, for every course under the programme.

Programme Editors cannot rename the programme or change who its admins/editors are.

4. Course Admin

Course Admins manage a single course. They can:

Rename the course.
Add, change or remove the course’s admins and editors.
Archive or restore the course.
Everything a Course Editor can do, for that course.

Course Admins cannot delete the course (deleting requires Programme Admin/Editor permissions, see Deleting a course) and have no access outside their own course.

5. Course Editor

Course Editors work on a course’s content. They can:

Create and edit graphs, domains, subjects and lectures.
Create and edit links.

Course Editors cannot delete graphs or links, cannot manage the course’s admins/editors, and cannot archive or delete the course.
